Playa Azul started with a simple belief: that the best tacos in town shouldn't require a flight to the coast. We opened our doors in Salina with a comal, a grill, and a stubborn refusal to cut corners.

Every morning, our tortillas are hand-pressed from nixtamalized corn. Our salsas are roasted, blended, and simmered before the lunch rush. Our meats are marinated in-house using recipes that have been passed down through generations.

We're not the fanciest restaurant in Salina. But we are the one where people come back — sometimes three times a week — because the food tastes the same every single time: hot, fresh, and made like someone actually cares.
